Calm
and graceful that little star,
Glittering, sparkling from afar,
A
shining beauty, nothing could mar.
Tender, shy and clad in white,
she
casts here blessings left and
right,
And
tells us: just enjoy the light
|
**** |
Yet
mother earth! many children cry,
Their life is gloomy, the soul is
dry,
Hit
by hunger, and many may die.
Help
them, Save them, Queen of night,
Give
them shelter and delight,
Give
them food, and one small kite. |
**** |
Soothe their wounds, wipe their
tear,
Give
them hope, with no fear,
Keep
them pure, honest and dear.
A
spark of love please ignite,
In
our hearts that need a light,
Do
it, do it, queen of night. |
**** |
I
can wander low and high,
I
can scan the earth and sky,
I
can reach the human eye.
But
tell me how to dwell your heart,
How
to reach your inner sight,
How
to halt the hate and fight. |
**** |
But
nay, with hope, let’s find a way,
And
every child should have a say,
No
more such talk as: we and they.
In
love and hope lies our might,
Through human care we gain our
right,
Then
little star will stay so bright. |
